Quang Ninh fully geared to tourism reopening
Quang Ninh province is getting ready for officially reopening tourism in new-normal situation from tomorrow, March 15, as approved by the Government.
To prepare for the safe reopening of the local tourism, Quang Ninh has conducted “safe green label” programs aiming to assess the implementation of measures for safe and flexible adaptation of tourist establishments across the province. More than 650 establishments in the tourism business have so far been included in a list of those with safe green labels.
As planned, 65 large-scaled events to stimulate tourism will be organised to attract holidaymakers such as the Ha Long Carnival, Ao Dai Festival, Food festivals, night markets on the water, hosting SEA Games’ sports, etc.
In order to attract both domestic and foreign tourists to Quang Ninh, the provincial Department of Tourism has stepped up tourism promotion activities, created new tourism products and services and those with regional linkage, develop a safe tourism programme, and select typical and safe tourism products to introduce to travel agents and tourism businesses.
The province has announced the list of destinations, attractions, businesses and service establishments satisfying requirted criteria for welcoming international tourists in the first phase in January 2022.
The approved attractions include Tuan Chau International Tourist Area (the model of an overnight cruise on Ha Long Bay and the model of welcoming guests to play and relax), the Complex of Yen Tu Monuments and Landscapes, Ha Long Bay, Mong Cai - Tra Co Tourist Area. These destinations are among the most famous ones in Quang Ninh. They have provided a variety of "all in one" services and tourists can travel in an isolated space. Tourist companies also prepare separate accommodation areas for their staff to minimize contact with the community.
All businesses and establishments that are allowed to welcome international tourists in the first phase must ensure that they fully meet the requirements such as high vaccination rate, sufficient capacity for responding to Covid-19 pandemic, and high-class and all-inclusive tourism products.
Thanks to such thorough preparations, the province hopes to resume local tourism activities successfully and reach the target to welcome roughly 10 million tourist arrivals including 1.5 million international ones.
