Within the framework of the working visit to Guangdong province, the Quang Ninh provincial delegation led by Deputy Head of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Do Thi Hoang on August 15 visited and worked with leaders of Zhouhai city, Guangdong province (China).
At the reception, Chairman of the city He Ning Ka has made a brief introduction about achievements and experiences in over 30 years of renovation and integration of Zhouhai-one of the four Chinese special economic zones. Accordingly, under the leadership of the Chinese Government with its new thoughts, implementation of the policies on renovation and integration Zhuhai became a big city in 1979 and the first special economic zone of China in 1980. To date, it is a modern city. Unlike other cities lying on the western bank of the Zhujiang river, Zhuhai city always attaches importance to developing marine economy, prioritizing to develop hi-tech industries and determining to develop industry in accordance with environmental protection. Besides, it always attracts hi-qualified human resource to live and work in the city.
Congratulating on the achievements in Zhuhai’s recent socio-economic development . Mrs. Do Thi Hoang hoped that through this visit, Quang Ninh would learn good experiences from its economic model, mechanisms as well as policies on the construction and development of the special economic zone, contributing to intensify the friendship cooperation between the two sides.
The Quang Ninh delegation and Zhuhai leaders also witnessed a signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on intensifying exchange, collaboration between Ha Long city's Government and People (Quang Ninh province) and Zhuhai city (Guangdong province). Under the MoU, the two sides will have to strictly comply with the relevant laws of each country based on the principles of equality, mutual benefit and the strategic comprehensive partnership cooperation relation between Vietnam and China, to develop forms of exchange and cooperation on voluntary basis.
Earlier, the delegation of Quang Ninh province had visited exhibition titled Zhuhai progress and Gree Ltd., Co, the delegation visited Shenzhen special economic zone on August 16.
