Quang Ninh delegation pays respects to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong
On July 25, Quang Ninh leaders paid their respects to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Funeral Hall in Hanoi.
Starting at 6pm on July 25, the funeral organising committee arranged for the public to pay their respects to General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Funeral Hall, No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong.
In a deeply emotional atmosphere, delegations from the Party, State, National Assembly, Government, Vietnam Fatherland Front, ministries, departments, armed forces, and many citizens from across the country gathered at the National Funeral Hall to honour General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, with nearly 60 years of service, made significant contributions to the Party and the nation. He was honoured with the Gold Star Order, the 55-year Party membership badge, and numerous other prestigious awards. His passing is a tremendous loss.
The memorial service for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong will continue tomorrow from 7am to 1pm.
The funeral ceremony will take place at 1pm on July 26 at the National Funeral House, with burial at 3pm at Mai Dich Cemetery, Hanoi.
In the condolence book, on behalf of Quang Ninh province's Party and people of all ethnic groups, the provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Xuan Ky expressed deep gratitude and mourn the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong - an outstanding leader, a theorist, a thinker and a great cultural figure who devoted his whole life to the country and the people.
Quang Ninh vows to unite, strive and be determined to successfully achieve the goal: "Building and developing the province to become increasingly rich, civilized and modern, ensuring people's prosperous and happy lives" as the General Secretary once underlined when he visited Quang Ninh province.
