On September 4, in Berlin, Germany, the Quang Ninh City delegation, led by Vu Quyet Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh City Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh City, attended the opening ceremony of IFA Berlin. The delegation also included Nguyen Van Cong, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh City People’s Committee.
IFA Berlin is the world’s largest international trade fair for consumer electronics and home appliances, held annually in Berlin, Germany. IFA Berlin 2026 takes place from September 4 to 8, attracting around 1,900 renowned brands from 49 countries.
As part of the opening ceremony, Vu Quyet Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh City Party Committee, met with Franziska Giffey, Governing Mayor of Berlin. He spoke highly of the organisation and scale of IFA Berlin and expressed his hope that the two cities would expand cooperation in the coming years, particularly in the development and application of science and technology.
On the same day, Nguyen Van Cong, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh City People’s Committee, held discussions with Ra Eberhard J. Trempel, Berlin Trade Adviser for the ASEAN region. He expressed his hope that the two sides would build a bridge for businesses from Berlin and across Germany to explore investment opportunities in Quang Ninh City.
