Quang Ninh: People returning from high-risk areas have to undergo concentrated isolation

Those who return Quang Ninh from very high-risk and high-risk areas must undergo a quarantine period at defined concentrated isolation areas, according to the province’s lastest plan on safe adaptation to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Medical isolation periods are applied for people from areas of level 4 – red zone and level 3 – orange zone in some following cases:

- 7 days of concentrated isolation (Covid-19 testings are carried out on the 1st and 7th day) and then 7 days self-quarantine at home: for Covid-19 fully vaccinated people with the last doses injected at least 14 days beforehand.

- 14 days of concentrated isolation (Covid-19 testings are carried out on the 1st, 7th, and 14th day): for those who haven’t been vaccinated yet or fully vaccinated ones with the last doses injected under 14 days.

The elderly, weak, seriously ill, and small children who need care have to undergo self-quarantine at home within 14 days from the date of entering Quang Ninh. Covid-19 tests have to be implemented on the 1st, 7th, and 14th day.

People returning from other areas (level 2 – yellow and level 1 – blue) have to keep track of their health, immediately inform the local health if there are symptoms of fever, cough, breathing difficulties, pains, muscle fatigue, etc.

Those who have been declared to recover from the Covid-19 disease for less than 6 months recently must undergo home medical isolation for 7 days from the date of arrival, take samples for testing on the 7th day. Their isolation period will end in case the test result is negative.

The cost of concentrated isolation (including living expenses and meals) during the period of concentrated isolation is financed by the People’s Committee of the cities or districts where they inhabit. Quarantined people have to pay extra expenses if they have their own needs during this quarantine period.
