Provincial Party Secretary received the Ambassador of Thailand to Vietnam
On Sep. 15, Provincial Party Secretary cum Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Xuan Ky, hosted a reception to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Vietnam, Nikorndej Blankura.
At the meeting, the Ambassador Nikorndej Blankura expressed his thanks for Quang Ninh authorities’ warm welcome. He also congratulated Quang Ninh on achieving many outstanding achievements in socio-economic development, especially being the leading in PCI for 4 consecutive years. In particular, Quang Ninh’s success in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic has been recognized and highly appreciated nationwide.
The Ambassador informed that the visit to Quang Ninh was his first business trip since he received his new position in Vietnam. Quang Ninh is always the best choice in his plans, cooperation programs and investment promotion expected to attract to Vietnam in his new working term.
Mr. Nikorndej Blankura highly appreciated the province’s efforts, companionship and support in implementing investment procedures. Quang Ninh has created the best conditions for investors to expand and develop their projects. Particularly, Thailand-based Amata Group has effectively been investing in an industrial zone in Quang Ninh.
The Ambassador hopes for the further cooperation in other fields such as culture, tourism, and society. He also proposed to open more direct flights from Thailand to Van Don, Quang Ninh and vice versa right after the Covid-19 pandemic is under control.
Thailand and Vietnam are going to hold a virtual conference on promoting tourism between the two countries in October; therefore, the launching of direct flights is expected to connect from Thailand to Van Don, Quang Ninh and vice versa for citizens and tourists who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
The Ambassador hoped that Quang Ninh would continue providing Thai businesses and investors with active support.

There are currently 5 FDI projects owned by Thai investors in Quang Ninh, including Amata Group. The industrial park that Amata invested in is located in the province’s most beautiful location approved as a coastal economic zone by the Government. This industrial park has welcomed the first secondary investor with a total investment value of nearly USD 500 million. Quang Ninh province has offered businesses the best conditions during the implementation of their projects, he saild.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that the mission of Quang Ninh authorities is to assist the people and businesses in gaining more added values. Quang Ninh always provides businesses with active support, from the initial idea to the whole project life cycle.
He hoped that the Thai Embassy would act as a bridge to promote more Thai corporations and investors to cooperate and invest in Quang Ninh, especially in top fields such as IT, processing industry, tourism, commerce, seaport, etc...
