Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Xuan Ky congratulates Vietnamese women’s football team on SEA Games success
On May 11, Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee, Nguyen Xuan Ky, congratulated the Vietnamese women football team after they came back strong to win 2-1 against Philippines in SEA Games 31 match on Wednesday.
Right after the match, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Ky and Acting President of the Vietnam Football Federation, Tran Quoc Tuan met and congratulated the achievements of the Vietnamese women's team.
The Party Secretary praised all of team members for their competitive spirit and professional styles, bringing success to the national team and offer great joy to football-loving spectators.
He also emphasized that Quang Ninh province is very honored to host 7 sports of the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31), including women's football. Quang Ninh has been making great efforts to ensure the most favorable conditions for all players and delegations in general as well as the Vietnam Sports Delegation in particular to play to their fullest.
On behalf of the leaders of Quang Ninh province, Party Secretary Nguyen Xuan Ky presented a bouquet of flowers to the Vietnamese women's team and share his trust that Coach Mai Duc Chung and his students would continue to compete successfully and reap good results in the following matches.
As a representive of the Vietnamese women's team, Coach Mai Duc Chung expressed great thanks to Quang Ninh leaders and confirmed his team’s determination to successfully defend their title at SEA Games 31.
