Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Xuan Ky congratulates doctors on Vietnamese Doctors’ Day
On February 22, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Xuan Ky, visited and congratulated medical staff in the province on the occasion of the upcoming Vietnamese Doctors’ Day, February 27.
Party Secretary Nguyen Xuan Ky led a delegation on a visit to congratulate doctors, health workers, and employees of Quang Ninh Lung Hospital. The hospital is a specialized medical facility which offers treatment for respiratory and lung diseases, with 161 doctors, health workers, and employees.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, he conveyed his best wishes to medical staff across the province in general and at the hospital in particular on the occasion of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day. He also praised their dedicated contribution and considerable achievements t in recent years, especially during 2 years of Covid-19.
Secretary Nguyen Xuan Ky also visited and supervised the implementation of the project of Quang Ninh Lung Hospital. Work started to upgrade and expand the Quang Ninh Lung Hospital from 2.52 ha to 3.85 ha in October 2022, and the number of beds will increase from 200 to 300 after the project is accomplished. The hospital is expected to become a smart hospital and a centre for lung disease treatment for the region and the whole country.
On the same day, Secretary Nguyen Xuan Ky visited and presented gifts to Bang Ca Communal Health Center in the mountainous area of Ha Long City. The centre has 5 doctors and medical staff who offer over 1,800 people in Bang Ca commune initial health checks.
He wished doctors and health workers good health to continue contributing their knowledge and experience to the care and improvement of people's health.
