Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Xuan Ky extends Christmas greetings to Catholics in Hon Gai Parish
On the occasion of Christmas and New Year, Secretary of the Quang Ninh provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Nguyen Xuan Ky on Decemer 24 paid a greeting visit to the Hon Gai parish in Ha Long city.
In the parish, the Secretary highly appreciated the Catholics community’s contributions to the socio-economic development as well as the preservation of the security and order in the localities.
Party committees and authorities at all levels in the province always support and create the best conditions for religious activities, he stressed.
He wished Catholic followers a merry and healthy Christmas.
He also asked Catholic priests to continue performing their model role in serving both God and the country as to follow the Pope’s teaching that a good Catholic must be a good citizen, live good lives and good religions, actively take part in social activities and join hands to construct Quang Ninh homeland into a wealthy land with sustainable development.
On the behalf of thousands of Catholic followers in the parish, the priest Duong Huu Tinh gave sincere thanks to the Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party's Committee and the authorities of all levels and wished everyone a merry christmas and a happy new year.
