The delegation visited and gave 50 new year gifts to 12 households, some military units stationed on the island, and the Tran island’s Covid-19 checkpoint.

During the trip, the delegation also organized and took part in a number of meaningful activities such as cleaning up the environment in the coastal area, providing local people with free medical check-up, free medicine, and Covid-19 quick tests, as well as organizing a cultural show named "The Spring in the border area, Tet on the island " with the participation of soldiers and people on Tran island.

Covering an area of 5.5 square kilometers, Tran Island is located to the northeast of Co To Island in Quang Ninh province. Quang Ninh and the military have implemented a range of incentive policies on improving islanders’ living standards. The province has built infrastructure, specified production industries, and created specific policies to help local residents stabilize their lives. Fishermen can obtain subsidized loans to repair fishing boats, buy fishing equipment, and pay for logistic services. Islanders are being provided with medical insurance cards. Three water reservoirs have been built to provide fresh water to every household as well.
