Mohamed Abdoun quoted the Vietnamese Party chief as saying that the introduction of the concept of socialist-oriented market economy constitutes a fundamental and creative theoretical breakthrough of the CPV, an important theoretical achievement obtained after 35 years of Doi Moi (Renewal), built on the Vietnamese realities and the selective reception of international experience.
According to him, the basic contents of the socialist-oriented market economy in Vietnam have also been mentioned in the documents of the 13th Congress of the CPV that took place from January 25 to February 2, 2021, including a practical review of theoretical research on economic development and the country’s Doi Moi process.
The Algerian expert emphasised that with the ability to self-renovate, self-adapt to new situations, and face great challenges, the Communist Party of Vietnam has innovated once again by promoting a concept that is revolution about the socialist-oriented market economy, while maintaining the basic tenets of Marxism-Leninism.
The Party chief’s article shows that in Vietnam, the concept of market economy is humane, and people are not “monetised”, Mohamed Abdoun said, adding that the management during the COVID-19 pandemic has proventhe soundness of the vision, as well as the choices and orientations that the Communist Party of Vietnam has adopted.
The CPV is also steadfast in its ultimate goal of real socialism, equipped with efficient and modern means of production and an agriculture that meets the needs of the people, and can even help neighbouring countries when necessary, he noted.
He said that through many wars, the country of Vietnam has been completely destroyed, including its economic structures, but under the ingenious leadership of the CPV and President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam has quickly recovered and developed.
Mohamed Abdoun affirmed that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s article also asserted that there are numerous challenges lying ahead on the road to socialism. On that path, it is impossible to lose sight of the nation’ssocial and community nature, that is, social justice and equality in the distribution of assets in order to benefit all people.
