Over 500 free coaches bring nearly 15,000 mining workers back home to enjoy Tet

Thousands of workers at the Hon Gai Coal Company, an affiliate of Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group - Vinacomin, travelled home for the Tet (Lunar New Year) holidays on free coaches this morning, Jan.28.

During a brief ceremony to see off the workers from the province, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Xuan Ky, conveyed New Year greetings and warm wishes to all their families.

He underlined the significant contribution of the mining sector to the province’s socio-economic development, especially during the harsh time driven by Covid-19.

He expressed his belief that, with the long-lasting tradition "Discipline and Solidarity" of the mining sector, Hon Gai Coal Company in particular and Vinacomin in general will exceed the set production and business targets in 2022.

On this occasion, the Secretary of the provincial Party Committee presented Tet gifts to workers living under difficult circumstances.
