Ninety-two new COVID-19 cases take national tally to 10,630

The Ministry of Health announced one imported case of COVID-19 and 91 domestic infections on Monday morning, raising the national patient tally to 10,630.

The imported case is a 38-year-old man who returned to Viet Nam via the Moc Bai international border gate in the southern province of Tay Ninh on June 11.

Meanwhile, the local community infections were recorded in eight localities, namely Ho Chi Minh City (30 cases), Bac Giang (23), Tien Giang (14), Ha Tinh (10), Bac Ninh (nine), Binh Duong (four), and Bac Kan (one) in which 73 cases were detected at quarantine camps or lockdown areas.

Among the national caseload, 8,993 are locally-transmitted cases, including 7,423 cases having been confirmed in 40 provinces and cities since the fourth wave of COVID-19 resurgence broke out on April 27, 2021.

The country also reported 3,998 recoveries and 59 deaths.
