Nearly 1,900 new coronavirus cases confirmed in Quang Ninh

A total of 1,898 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Quang Ninh on Feb. 21, in which, 1,683 cases were detected within the community.

Quang Ninh authorities announced the confirmation of 1,898 new Covid-19 patients residing in Ha Long (387 cases), Dong Trieu (275 cases), Quang Yen (250 cases), Cam Pha (242 cases), Uong Bi (230 cases), Mong Cai (124 cases), Hai Ha (108 cases), Dam Ha (80 cases), Van Don (73 cases), Tien Yen (69 cases), Ba Che (31 cases), Binh Lieu (25 cases) and Co To (4 cases) in the evening of Feb. 21.

478 patients were in good health conditions and left the hospital on Feb.21.

The authorities encourages local people to proactively undertake quick tests to early detect any positive case if they have complicated travel schedules or have unusual symptoms.

They are supposed to strictly follow defined regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control, make medical declarations and carry out all necessary vaccinations.

According to the latest instruction from the Ministry of Health (MoH), issued on Monday afternoon, people who have been in close contact with COVID-19 patients, or F1 cases, are allowed to self-quarantine at home for five days if they have been fully vaccinated, or have recovered from the disease in the last three months. They are also required to self-monitor their health for the following five days.
