National Sports Games: the Kylin-Lion-Dragon Dance shines
On December 13, the Can Tho team won the gold medal in the category of individual pole climbing held at the Square of October 30 in Ha Long city.
This category has 7 participating teams. Hanoi team won silver medal. Bronze medals went to Dien Bien and An Giang teams.
As planned, participants will continue to enter the category of Team Climbing (from 3p.m to 5p.m) and Mai Hoa Thung for men and women (from 6p.m to 20p.m).
The Kylin-Lion-Dragon Dance competitions belong to seven categories held from December 10-15 at the October 30 Square.
The dance is a traditional form of performance, representing a symbol of luck, prosperity, security, and good health during festive events, especially during the Tet (Lunar New Year).
It is a widespread tradition not only in Vietnam but in many Southeast Asian and East Asian countries.
