Mong Cai: Over 1 million tons of goods exported through border gate

According to the Management Board of Mong Cai International Border Gate , from January 1 to July 18, 2021, over 796 thousand vehicles carrying more than 1 million tons of import-export goods through the border gate of Bac Luan Bridge No. 2 and the open trail of Km3 + 4 Hai Yen temporary buoy bridge.

As many as 28,358 container trucks carrying 471.507 tons of goods were allowed to run through the border gate of Bac Luan Bridge No. 2, representing a 12.38 percent increase year on year .

At the open trail of Km3+4 Hai Yen temporary floating bridge, 608.334 tons of goods on 24,817 trucks were exported to China.

It is also reported that 6,429 people have already entered and existed the country through the border gate since January 1. Of which, 1,876 ones had to quarantine after returning to Vietnam.

In an attempt to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the Management Board of Mong Cai International Border Gate has collaborated with the Mong Cai City Medical Center to collect 16,770 samples of officials, workers, drivers, transporters, crew members working at this area.

861 officials and employees working at the border gate were administered the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine from from July 14-17, 319 of whom are working as transit drivers.
