Love Bridge and Ha Long - Cam Pha coastal road to open to traffic on Jan. 1

On Dec. 30, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Xuan Ky paid a visit to the contruction site of Love Bridge (Cua Luc 1) which spans Cua Luc Bay and connects the north and south of Ha Long city.

The Provincial Party Secretary was accompanied by Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Tuong Van, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Cao Tuong Huy, and leaders of relevant departments, agencies and localities.

As scheduled, Quang Ninh is going to inaugurate two key transport infrastructure projects including Love Bridge and Ha Long - Cam Pha coastal road on January 1, 2022.

These two projects have been implemented in the context of Covid-19 pandemic with numerous difficulties, but the province has done its utmost to accomplish them on time.

The Love bridge  and its leading path has a total length of 4,265m, in which the steel arch bridge, measuring 290m in length and 33.1m in width, is designed to have six lanes with a speed limit of 60km per hour. The construction project also include several accompanying items including intersections, sewers, sidewalks, trees, lighting systems and others. The total investment capital is over VND 2,100 billion.

The Provincial Party Secretary requested the investor and contractors to expeditiously complete all tasks to officially put the Love Bridge and Ha Long - Cam Pha coastal road into use on the first day of the new year 2022.
