Kylin-Lion-Dragon Dance Championship: Quang Ninh won 2 gold medals

Within the framework of the National Sports Games 2022, the Kylin-Lion-Dragon Dance Championship wrapped up this morning. Quang Ninh won 2 gold medals, ranking 3rd among all participating localities.

Ho Chi Minh city topped the Kylin-Lion-Dragon Dance ranking, followed by Can Tho and Quang Ninh.

It was the first time Kylin-Lion-Dragon Dance had been listed in the National Sports Games. The championship attracted 14 teams, 297 athletes from various provinces and cities nationwide.

The organizing board prepared well for the facility and equipment to make sure safety for athletes.

The Kylin-Lion-Dragon Dance competitions belonging to seven categories held from December 10-15 at the October 30 Square.

Quang Ninh team included 16 athletes trained by Coach Bui Van Thanh.

It is a widespread tradition not only in Việt Nam but in many Southeast Asian and East Asian countries.

Lots of locals and tourists came to see these competitions and feel excited about skillful and impressive performances.

The dance is a traditional form of performance, representing a symbol of luck, prosperity, security, and good health during festive events, especially during the Tet (Lunar New Year).
