Impressive Border "Hoa Sim" Festival
The first Border Hoa Sim (Rose myrtle) Festival was held May 14-15 at the Culture and Sports Staditum of Hai Son Commune. This festival left visitors with distinct impression.
The two-day festival is part of activities responding to the National Tourism Year, promoting Mong Cai’s tourism and marking the 132nd birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh.
The event aimed to create a new tourism product in association with the development of community-based tourism in Hai Son commune, contributing to preserving and promoting the cultural values of ethnic minority groups in Mong Cai city.
The activities within the festival were held in several tourist areas of Hai Son commune such as the communal cultural and sports centre, Po Hen martyrs’ Monument, Border marker 1347, Ho Dang hamlet, Po Hen village, Than Phu Xa village, rose myrtle hill and Panai mountain peak.
The festival also featured various attractive activities including the Po Hen rural market, sports exchanges and folk games.
