Ha Noi quarantines returnees from pandemic-hit localities
Returnees from pandemic-hit regions to Ha Noi will be sent to public quarantine sites from 0:00 am of July 22 as part of the capital city's latest measures to contain COVID-19.
Specifically, the new policy is applicable to people returning from 19 localities Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Can Tho, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Tien Giang, Long An, Vinh Long, Dong Thap, Ben Tre, Hau Giang, An Giang, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang, Tra Vinh, Ca Mau and Kien Giang.
The aforesaid localities are placed under social distancing in accordance with the Government’s Directive No. 16 due to spike in infection cases.
Earlier, the municipial authorities of Ha Noi had decided to temporarily suspend non-essential services from July 13 for fears of COVID-19 transmission.
All returnees from HCMC and other disease-hit areas were requested to make full health declaration at website www.tokhaiyte.vn or use apps Ncovi and Bluezone, and present negative Real-time PCR SARS-CoV-2 tests issued within three days before returning to Ha Noi.
Especially, returnees from HCMC were requested to immediately inform the local authorities and self-quarantine at home for 14 days.
The city has reported 761 local infections since the fourth coronavirus wave hit the country on April 27.
