Ha Long Bay set to welcome first Korean tourists post-Covid
Quang Ninh, home to Ha Long Bay, is scheduled to receive nearly 190 South Korean tourists arriving by charter flights next month.
The visitors will play golf, visit UNESCO heritage site Ha Long Bay and Sunworld Ha Long entertainment complex and explore some other tourist attractions.
They are booked to travel with Good Feeling Vietnam.
They will be among the first foreign golf visitors to the northern province since Vietnam reopened its doors to tourists on March 15 and South Korea eased immigration procedures recently.
A representative of the company said it would bring more South Korean tourists to Quang Ninh in the third and fourth quarters.
Quang Ninh hopes to attract 10 million tourists, including 1.6 million foreigners, this year.
Also on March 15 the government scrapped quarantine requirements and reinstated visa waiver for the citizens of 24 countries, including Japan and South Korea.
It has also removed most other requirements like Covid tests and medical declarations.
