Ha Long Bay ready to welcome tourists from today
According to the Ha Long Bay Management Board, some tourist attractions in Ha Long Bay resume normal operations from September 13.
Typhoon Yagi, Asia’s most powerful storm this year, has caused extensive damage to popular tourist destinations and disrupted travel across Vietnam, China, the Philippines, and Thailand. All attractions in Ha Long Bay also has to suspend their operations.
The Bay Management Board has proactively coordinated with departments and localities to mobilize funcitional forces to address the devastation of Typhoon Yagi. So far, a number of tourist attractions are ready to welcome and serve tourists.
The tourist routes that meet the requirement for serving tourists include: Route 1 (Thien Cung - Dau Go), Route 2 (Sung Sot, Hang Luon, Ti Top), Route 5 (except Ba Hang).
In addition, some overnight accommodation locations that are als eligible to welcome guests consist of Hon 587 - Nha Lat - Hang Luon, and the high-speed boat transfer point of Hon Cat Lan.
Those tourist routes and attractions are scheduled to welcome guests from September 13, 2024.
Other attractions in Ha Long Bay have been drastically repaired and are expected to welcome tourists as soon as possible.
