The Travel shared that Vietnam is a distinctive country that is blessed with numerous beautiful natural attractions, including Ha Long Bay. With its emerald waters and nearly 2000 limestone islands and islets, the Bay typically receives 2.6 million visitors annually.

“The site also attracts hikers, swimmers, divers, and rock climbers,” the magazine added.

The Travel suggested that the best times to visit Ha Long Bay are in March, April, September, and October.

The list of the 10 most-visited natural wonders of the world was based on the evaluation of the 7 Natural Wonders Foundation, Google, and the latest surveys collected from Instagram, TikTok, and TripAdvisor according to the number of annual visitors.

Other destinations included on the list of the top 10 most-visited natural wonders were the Grand Canyon of Arizona (USA), Table Mountain (South Africa), Moraine Lake (Canada), the Matterhorn (Switzerland and Italy), the Great Barrier Reef (Australia), Arches National Park (USA), the Cliffs of Moher (Ireland), Iguazu Falls (Argentina and Brazil), and Guanabara Bay (Brazil).

Located in the northeast of Vietnam, Ha Long Bay covers 1,550 square kilometers, with 1,969 islands. The UNESCO-recognized area is 434 square kilometers, forming a triangle with Dau Go Island to the west, Ba Ham Lake to the south, and Cong Tay Island to the east.

Ha Long Bay has received UNESCO accolades twice before. In 1994, it was designated a natural heritage site for its natural landscape, marking Vietnam's first recognition in this category. In 2020, it secured a second accolade for its geological and geomorphological value.
