Free coaches offered to bring 2,700 workers at Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park back home to enjoy Tet
On the afternoon of Jan. 26, Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park’s companies arranged free coaches to send 2,700 workers home to celebrate Tet with their families. Leaders of the provincial Labor Confederation and the Labor Confederation of Hai Ha district attended the event.
According to General Director of Texhong Ngan Ha Science and Technology Co., Ltd, Dao Huy, as an annual activity, the company arranged 31cars carrying 1,200 workers, who have already been vaccinated with 3 shots, back to their hometowns to enjoy Tet festival with their family.
Additionally, about 700 workers at other enterprises within Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park were also offered free coaches by their companies to come home on the occasion of Tet holiday.
The free-of-charge coach programme brought the sense of happiness among thousands of workers. “ Last year’s Tet holiday, we could not return home to celebrate Tet festival due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, we found it really happy when our company arranged free coaches to take us home and gave us Tet gifts as well.”, said Nguyen Van The, Workshop 1, Texhong Ngan Ha Science and Technology Co., Ltd .
On the same day, the Provincial Labor Confederation and the Labor Confederation of Hai Ha district visited and presented Tet gifts to the families of 30 Labor Union members and employees working at Texhong Ngan Ha Science and Technology Co., Ltd. who did not return to their hometown and stayed on Quang Ninh during Tet.
It is reported that businesses at Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park did their utmost to overcome all problems arisen during Covid-19 pandemic to ensure productitvity and job security for workers. Particularly, Texhong Ngan Ha Science and Technology Co., Ltd. had an increase in salary and bonus compared to the previous year, the Tet bonus increased by an average of 30%.
Along with bonuses from businesses, political and social organizations such as the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Labor Confederation, the Hai Ha District Labor Confederation and the Trade Union also gave Tet gifts to Labor Union members living under difficult circumstances.
Various activities are scheduled to be organzied to encourage those who do not return to their hometowns during Tet.
