Exploring Ha Long city as the way locals do

The red confetti and canary flowers blooming around the provincial museum and library draw visitors’ great attention and the October 30 Square nearby is regarded as an ideal place for enjoying the beauty of sunset on Halong Bay and flying kites.  

The 4.7-km coastal road of Tran Quoc Nghien runs parallel with Halong Bay, offering tourists a visual feast of the world-famous bay. 

Enjoying seafood is also a must-experience thing that travellers can not miss when visting Halong city. In addition, they can purchase a variety of seafood at the morning fish market located in front of Vincom Commerce Centre. 

Customers can be served tasty dishes with sensible prices at an array of seafood restaurants. Several famous ones include Hong Hanh restaurant chain in Hon Gai and Bai Chay, restaurants along the road of Column 5 Area, and at Gieng Don street. There are sidewalk stalls on the embankment of the coastal area of Ben Doan, from the Bai Chay about a kilometer. From far away, travellers can feel the great aroma of oysters, clams, baked snails. Rustic style with affordable prices is a plus point that many tourists come to this place. 

What is more, it’s also great to visit some amazing coffee shops which are impressively designed and located high above with a view over the whole city or Ha Long Bay. Tourists are able to find them in the Vinhomes area (Hong Gai ward), along the Ba Deo area (Hong Gai ward), near Column Clock, Ha Long Park (Bach Dang ward), Hai Quan street (Bai Chay ward), etc.
