Eighty-one new COVID-19 cases take national tally to 12,231

The Ministry of Health announced 81 domestic infection cases of COVID-19 on Friday morning, raising the national patient tally to 12,231.

The latest patients are residents in Ho Chi Minh City (60) and Bac Giang (21), in which 76 cases were detected at quarantine camps or lockdown areas.

Among the national caseload, 10,564 are locally-transmitted cases, of whom 8,994 cases have been confirmed since the fourth wave of COVID-19 resurgence broke out on April 27, 2021.
