Efforts to effectively control the Covid-19 pandemic
Since the 2022 Lunar New Year holiday, Quang Ninh has faced difficulties and challenges when the number of new infections in the community increases. The province has implemented the right and scientific solutions to effectively control the Covid-19 pandemic and keep the province stable.
The province requires the health sector and localities to ensure "six enough" (enough oxygen; enough nutrition for people with Covid-19; enough medicine; enough hospital beds; enough medical staff and volunteers; enough leaders and managers on duty ready to direct and respond promptly and quickly to the people's support needs);
The province has issued plans to organize the management, treatment and care of people infected with Covid-19 in the situation of up to 10,000 F0/day in the province. Then the Department of Health has guided the classification and regulation of the number of patients to meet the treatment requirements for serious and critical patients at Hospital No. 1, Hospital No. 2, Hospital for Obstetrics and Gynecology, Provincial General Hospital, Bai Chay Hospital, Vietnam - Sweden Hospital Uong Bi.
In order to provide maximum support for cases of home treatment, proactive in self-monitoring of health, the Department of Health has proactively approached the fastest and earliest source of antiretroviral drugs for the treatment of Covid-19. Medicines to treat Covid-19 patients are distributed in 13/13 localities and medical facilities in accordance with regulations.
Making the most of the golden time before the 2022 Lunar New Year to focus on deploying the 3rd dose vaccination for those who are eligible, so far, Quang Ninh is the locality that deploys the earliest and fastest vaccination campaign. In which, coverage of 1st and 2nd injections for people 12 years of age or older is over 99%, and coverage for 3 doses for people 18 years of age or older is over 96%.
Thanks to that result, although the number of Covid-19 cases in the province increased rapidly, over 99.5% of cases had mild symptoms and no symptoms. The number of deaths accounted for 0.03% of cases, much lower than the national rate.
Up to now, the province has basically controlled the situation well, ensuring the stability of people's lives, production and business activities, and socio-economic development in the new normal situation.
