Every year, when peach blosooms start to bloom in the middle of the last lunar month, the Dao prepare for their Tet earlier than other ethnic groups.

Family members together prepare the banquet to worship ancestors.

The most important custom during their Tet is a reunion meal at the house of the head of a clan. This person is in charge of worshipping the clan's ancestors. Each involved family will bring offerings (chicken, pork, wine, sticky rice, incense, yellow paper...) to celebrate Tet together.

The banquet includes locally-produced food.
