Since January 8, customs clearance activities at Mong Cai International Border Gate have taken place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Hanoi time) and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Beijing time). All appointments for entry have been cancelled. People on entry with a negative RT-PCR test within 48 hours are allowed to enter normally.
Custom clearance required for cargo import - export activities have also resumed at Bac Luan 2 Bridge, Km3+4 Hai Yen temporary pontoon bridge, Ka Long border gate - Dong Hung border gate.
Additionally, people and export goods going through border gates in Mong Cai city no longer have to undergo COVID-19 RT-PCR testing from January 8. Despite easing COVID-19 prevention measures at the border gate area, Mong Cai city still requires people entering the area to wear masks, disinfect their hands, and not gather in crowds. Drivers of transit trucks still have to wear protective clothing, masks, gloves, shoe covers and glasses.
Relevant forces as well as businesses and labourers working at border gates are asked to strictly follow pandemic prevention and control measures.
