On September 7 and 8, at Ngoa Van Zen Village, the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations and Ngoa Van Yen Tu Cultural Tourism Joint Stock Company organised the cultural experience and literary and artistic creation programme “Ngoa Van - A Realm of Inspiration”.
The programme attracted the participation of 40 artists, including composers and writers who are members of the Vietnam Writers’ Association and the Vietnam Musicians’ Association.
Through the “Ngoa Van - A Realm of Inspiration” programme, the artists had the opportunity to experience the setting of Ngoa Van Zen Village, practise meditation, and spend time observing and creating in the meditation garden, at Phu Am Tra stream and in the Truc Lam heritage exhibition space. They also took part in artistic exchanges and cultural experiences, and made a pilgrimage to sacred sites including Ngoa Van Trung Pagoda, Ngoa Van Thuong Pagoda and Ngoa Van Hermitage, with stops at the King-Buddha Stupa and Ban Co Tien Peak.
The “Ngoa Van - A Realm of Inspiration” programme went beyond bringing artists to a cultural site. It also opened up a new approach to heritage, allowing it to live on through the perceptions of contemporary people and continue to be told through the language of art.
