Ba Vang pagoda festival officially opens

Ba Vang pagoda festival, one of the biggest spring festivals in Quang Ninh, officially opened on Feb. 12 in Uong Bi city with a wide range of art performances and cultural activities.

After the opening ceremony, delegates and buddhist monks and nuns joined the insence offering ceremony to pray for the peace for the country and all the people.

According to the Organization Board, the festival draw thousands of buddhist monks and nuns and visitors from other provinces to visit the pagoda on the opening day of the festival.

Located in Uong Bi city, Ba Vang pagoda is regared as one of the most spiritual places in Vietnam, becoming a most-wanted attraction for the visitors and locals when the spring comes.

Particulary, the Chrysanthemum flower festival, which aims to preserve and honour all the values of the Buddhism, is planned to take place in Ba Vang pagoda on Sep. 9, 2019.

Ba Vang pagoda festival runs till the end of the first lunar month.
