Additional 18 Covid-19 infected cases recorded in Quang Ninh on Nov. 7
Quang Ninh authorities announced the confirmation of 18 new Covid-19 patients residing at Dong Trieu town and three cities of Uong Bi, Mong Cai and Cam Pha at 8pm on November 7.
Of these new cases, 9 ones are related to the Covid-19 cluster of Uong Bí city’s Sao Vang Company, one works at Uong Bi city’s Manh Hung Forestry Company, 4 cases are associated with the Covid-19 cluster at Dong Trieu town, 3 cases detected in Mong City are truck drivers departing from the southern province of Dong Nai, and one detected in Cam Pha city returns from foreign countries.
According to statistics, Quang Ninh has recorded 161 Covid-19 infected cases since October 11, 2021, 107 patients of whom have been under treatment at hopitals across the province and 11 ones have been treated at home. 43 patients have so far been discharged from the hospital and no one has been died of Covid-19.
There have existed 2 Covid-19 clusters in Dong Trieu town and Uong Bi city. Specifically, Dong Trieu town has recognized 35 cases including 26 ones at Hong Thai Tay commune, 5 at Hong Thai Dong commune and 4 at Mao Khe ward.
Uong Bi city has anounced 51 Covid-19 patients including 42 at the cluster of Sao Vang Company, 9 at Manh Hung Forestry Company and 1 in the period for contact tracing.
Quang Ninh province has implemented the widespread Covid-19 testing for people at risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection, especially those related to Covid-19 cases detected at these clusters. Thousands of people are now in concentrated quarantine areas and self-isolate at home and other accommodations in accordance with Ministry of Health’s directions.
