Quang Ninh's acting PPC Chairman Cao Tuong Huy received US investors
On March 28, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Cao Tuong Huy, hosted in Ha Long city a reception for Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director of the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) Michael Michalak and a delegation of the council's businesses.
For more than 35 years, the US-ASEAN Business Council has been the premier advocacy organization for U.S. corporations operating within the dynamic Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), serving as the leading voice of the U.S. private sector in promoting mutually beneficial trade and investment relationships between the United States and Southeast Asia.
The Council’s members include 179 leading American multinational corporations in numerous industries.
This organization has also acted as a bridge connecting about 120 American businesses with those in Vietnam.
Acting Chairman Cao Tuong Huy expressed his warm welcome to Senior Vice President Michael Michalak and his delegation. He told his guests that Quang Ninh represents the development potential and dynamism of Vietnam, and the province holds an important strategic geographical position, serving as a gateway connecting Vietnam with China and other ASEAN countries.
He shared his hope that the USABC would help Quang Ninh with the promotion of its investment environment and potentials within the US business community.
For his part, Senior Vice President Michael Michalak expressed his impression on Quang Ninh’s efforts to attain its top position in PCI rankings for 5 consecutive years and spoke highly of its business environment and potential.
He also committed to give Quang Ninh active support in enhancing cooperation between US businesses with the province in the near future.
