ABAC delegates engage in cultural exchange in Quang Ninh
On July 16, nearly 250 delegates from Vietnam and across the Asia-Pacific region including senior business leaders gathered in Bai Chay ward, Quang Ninh, for a cultural exchange event held as part of the third APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) Meeting 2025 in Vietnam.
The event was attended by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Quang Ninh People’s Committee, Pham Duc An, along with leaders from various departments and localities.
Co-hosted by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and ABAC Vietnam, the program aimed to foster closer connections among delegates while reaffirming Vietnam’s, and particularly Quang Ninh’s, strong commitment to regional economic cooperation.
In his remarks, Chairman Pham Duc An emphasized ABAC’s strategic role as a bridge between the business community and APEC policymakers. He noted that ABAC’s 2025 theme “Bridge - Business - Beyond” embodies the aspirations of enterprises to enhance regional connectivity, drive innovation, promote sustainability, and expand their global reach.
Businesses, he said, play a pivotal role in linking economies and societies, breakthrough innovations and sustainable development, as well as the region and the broader world. This vision, he added, aligns with the path that Vietnamese businesses and Quang Ninh province are pursuing: building an innovative, green economy with deep global integration.

Back in July 2022, Quang Ninh was honored to successfully host the third annual ABAC Meeting. That event helped elevate the province’s image, not only as a top-tier tourism destination, but also as a vibrant and promising investment hub, deeply committed to accompanying businesses toward sustainable growth and prosperity.
Quang Ninh has recently undergone a dynamic transformation driven by bold reforms and a forward-looking mindset. The province is now regarded as one of Vietnam’s most attractive investment destinations, recognized by international institutions and FDI communities for its competitive advantages, transparent and supportive governance, and well-developed infrastructure.
By 2030, Quang Ninh aspires to become a comprehensive growth center, a marine economy powerhouse, and a modern industrial and service-based province, positioned as a regional and global urban hub. Priority investment areas include the digital economy, high-tech manufacturing and supporting industries, clean and renewable energy (such as wind and solar), high-tech agriculture and aquaculture, premium and diversified tourism, logistics, smart port services, and smart border trade infrastructure.
Quang Ninh is committed to sustainable development and international integration. The province continues to improve its business environment, develop synchronized infrastructure, enhance human resources, accelerate digital transformation, encourage innovation, and promote green growth. It stands ready to welcome and fully support international enterprises, especially ABAC members, in exploring, partnering, and investing in the province.
At the event, ABAC delegates enjoyed vibrant cultural performances, exchanged symbolic gifts, and participated in meaningful cultural interactions, leaving a lasting impression of a dynamic, hospitable, and culturally rich Vietnam and a globally connected Quang Ninh.
