“A safe haven for birds to perch in”

Local people in Quang Yen town say that hundreds of white storks have recently come to live in the mangrove area of Tan An ward. This can be seen as a good signal for the improvement of the ecological environment in the locality.

Hundreds of storks have recently moved to live in the mangrove forest.

The flock of storks perch on the bushes of mangrove trees.

They forage in the area near aquaculture ponds.

It is said that it has been a long time since a large flock of storks last appeared in this area.

Scientists reveal that storks only reside when they perceive that the natural conditions are guaranteed and the habitat is safe.

The number of storks flying back to live in the area has kept increasing, meaning that Quang Ninh's policies on banning the hunting of wild birds and protecting the environment are highly effiecient.
