62 new coronavirus cases confirmed in Quang Ninh on Tuesday

A total of 62 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Quang Ninh on Dec.14.

Quang Ninh authorities announced the confirmation of 62 new Covid-19 patients residing in three cities of Ha Long, Cam Pha, Uong Bi, Dong Trieu town, and Van Don district in the evening of December 14.

Quang Ninh province implemented the widespread Covid-19 testing for many people at risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection, especially those related to Covid-19 cases detected at these clusters.

Thousands of people are now in concentrated quarantine areas and self-isolate at home and other accommodations in accordance with Ministry of Health’s directions.

406 F0s have been under treatment at hospitals and health clinics in the province and 37 cases are treated at home.

20 patients recovered and went out of the hospital on December 14.

Quang Ninh has already launched 20 programs of vaccination against Covid-19. It is reported that 41,916 people are injected with one shot of Covid-19 vaccines and  1,060,737 people receive 2 injections.

Molupiravir, an antiviral drug, has been used for treating Covid-19 patients in the province since November 24. This medicine is designated only for people with mild symptoms, and its usage will be carefully monitored by medical staff. To date, 411 F0s have been treated with Molupiravir, of which 286 patients have completed their treatment course.
