319 new coronavirus cases confirmed in Quang Ninh

A total of 319 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Quang Ninh on January 12, in which, 279 cases were detected within the community.

Local people in Ba Che district's Dap Thanh commune received the 3rd shots of vaccination against Covid-19.

Quang Ninh authorities announced the confirmation of 319 new Covid-19 patients residing in Quang Yen (74 cases), Uong Bi (63 cases), Cam Pha (56 cases), Ha Long (55 cases), Dong Trieu (35 cases), Van Don (24 cases), Mong Cai (10 cases), Tien Yen (1 case), and Binh Lieu (1 case) in the evening of Jan. 12.

The localities of Dong Trieu, Quang Yen, Ha Long, Cam Pha, and Uong Bi recorded a high number of cases in the community, most of them are related to coal companies, industrial parks, schools and markets.

The authorities encourages people to proactively undertake quick tests to early detect any positive case if they have complicated travel schedules or have unusual symptoms.

Local people should consider using Covid-19 high-risk services and activities such as weddings, parties, pubs, funerals, etc.

They are supposed to strictly follow defined regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control, make medical declarations and carry out all necessary vaccinations.
