2,000 Ha Long women dance on the bank of the heritage bay
On May 11, in celebration of the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), more than 2,000 female officials and members of the Ha Long Women’s Union took part in the event “Ha Long Women - the dance by the heritage bay” at 30/10 square, Hong Hai ward.
The program highlighted the role and contributions of modern Vietnamese women, while fostering pride in Ha Long's unique cultural identity.
The centerpiece of the event was a grand parade and mass folk dance performance featuring 2,025 participants. Clad in traditional ao dai adorned with the red flag and yellow star, the women marched along the shores of Ha Long Bay, forming a living image of the national flag and the words “HA LONG WOMEN 2025.”
Beyond showcasing patriotism and national pride, the event affirmed the strength, solidarity, and core role of Ha Long’s women in building a more civilized and compassionate city. It also marked the city’s readiness to embrace a new era, with the Women’s Union actively contributing to political and social development at local, provincial, and national levels.
As part of the program, vibrant and graceful performances by folk dance and shuffle dance clubs from various women’s union branches added excitement and charm to the celebration.
