133 new coronavirus cases confirmed in Quang Ninh on Dec.20

A total of 133 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Quang Ninh on Dec.20.

Quang Ninh authorities announced the confirmation of 133 new Covid-19 patients residing in three cities of Ha Long, Cam Pha, Uong Bi, Dong Trieu town, and Van Don district in the evening of December 20.

The widespread Covid-19 testing has been carried out at high-risk areas. Thousands of people are now in concentrated quarantine areas and self-isolate at home and other accommodations in accordance with Ministry of Health’s directions.

650 F0s have been under treatment at hospitals and health clinics in the province and 163 cases are treated at home.

9 patients recovered on December 20.

Quang Ninh has already launched 21 programs of vaccination against Covid-19 for over 1,1 million people.

The province has used Molupiravir, an antiviral drug, in treating Covid-19 patients since November 24. Molnupiravir is designated only for people with mild symptoms, and its usage will be carefully monitored by medical staff.
