The opening ceremony of “Yen Tu - An autumn journey to Buddha land” festival was organized at the foot of Yen Tu mountain in Uong Bi city on November 11.
At the ceremony, a bustling dragon dance and special artistic performances created a festive atmosphere attracting thousands of locals of tourists. The highlight of the art program was the scene named "the holy land of Truc Lam Yen Tu " recalling the life of King-Monk Tran Nhan Tong.
Delegates, local residents, travellers and pilgrims also joined the ritual praying for a peaceful and happy nation, and then climbed upwards the peak of Yen Tu mountain.
As part of Quang Ninh’s tourism stimulus campaign, a series of activities themed “Yen Tu - An autumn journey to Buddha land” will be held within 6 days from November 11.
As planned, there are a range of religious ritulas commemorating Buddhist - Monk Tran Nhan Tong, impressive arts performances, photo exhibitions, food shows, herb spa experience, etc.
