In order to catch the first sunlight at Dong Pagoda on Yen Tu Mountain, watchers should start their journey at 4 am. 2/3 of their trip to the top of the mountain will be supported by cable car system and they have to walk for the rest of the journey. Visitors are accompanied by a tourist guide, a Yoga instructor, and a bamboo flute player. Visitors are instructed to practice yoga before starting their trip and after watching the sunrise. Low temperature, thin air, high humidity, and cloudy sky make it difficult to watch sunrise. But on sunny days with clear sky and high temperature, you will see spectacular sunrise.
Therefore, the most interesting thing of the sunrise trip is not only catching the first sunlight on the top of sacred mountain but also the feeling of conquering the 1,068 mountain at the very first beginning of a day when the air is the most freshest.
