Vietnam Festival in Hokkaido 2025 set for September 5-7

On July 10, the Department of Foreign Affairs of Quang Ninh province hosted a working session with the organizing delegation of the Vietnam Festival in Sapporo, Hokkaido (Japan), led by Mr. Nakata Takahiro, Head of the Festival Organizing Committee and Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Hokkaido.

The Vietnam Festival in Hokkaido 2025 is scheduled to take place from September 5 to 7 in Hokkaido Prefecture.

The festival is a key cultural diplomacy event aimed at showcasing the vibrancy of Vietnamese culture, tourism, cuisine, and people to the international community, particularly Japanese audiences.

It also serves as an important platform for deepening the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed and clarified various aspects of the festival’s coordination efforts. Key topics included the composition and size of Quang Ninh’s official delegation, plans for setting up booths to promote culture and tourism, the delegation’s itinerary and length of stay, artistic performance activities, and logistical arrangements.

At the meeting

Beyond the festival, the meeting also touched upon opportunities for collaboration in education and training, especially in connecting vocational institutions, student exchange programs, internship opportunities, and youth cultural exchanges between the two provinces.

At the end of the session, both parties agreed to establish a permanent liaison group to continue coordination, refine detailed plans, and provide recommendations to leaders of both localities on preparations, reception, and successful festival execution.

The meeting not only helped solidify plans for the event but also marked a step forward in strengthening the long-standing friendship and cooperation between Quang Ninh (Vietnam) and Hokkaido (Japan), paving the way for a vibrant and impactful Vietnam Festival in Hokkaido this September.
