Vietnam Design Week 2023 opens in Hanoi

The 2023 edition of the Vietnam Design Week opened on September 23 at the Temple of Literature in Hanoi, gathering the nation’s top designers and design companies.

This is the largest annual event in the field of design in Vietnam and this is the fourth time that it has been held.

During the week, there will be a series of activities, including the Design of the Year awards ceremony, a Vietnamese design fair, exhibitions and workshops, aiming to promote the development of Vietnam’s design industry and creative industries in general.

Earlier in April, a design contest was launched with the theme “Designs from Restrictions”, which has drawn 150 design entries, from which 31 designs were shortlisted and chosen for exhibition.

The opening ceremony of Vietnam Design Week 2023 also marked the opening of a design fair featuring 50 domestic and foreign design companies showcasing their products in over 100 display booths.

According to Chairman of the Vietnam Design Group Le Viet Ha, the event is an opportunity for designers to exchange, learn from one another and bring their designs to the public.

Vietnam Design Week 2023 will last until September 29.
