On October 13, the Ha Long Heritage International Marathon, renowned for its stunning route along the shores of Ha Long Bay, was officially awarded the World Athletics Label Road Race certification by the World Athletics Federation. This marks the first and only marathon in Vietnam to receive such a distinguished global recognition.

On July 12, the Yen Tu-Vinh Nghiem-Con Son, Kiep Bac Relics and Scenic Complex, spanning the provinces of Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, and the city of Hai Phong, was officially inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. As Vietnam’s ninth World Heritage site and the nation’s second interprovincial inscription, this milestone is not only a source of immense pride but also ushers in new opportunities for safeguarding and promoting the site’s enduring cultural values.

On July 1, the Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism officially announced the establishment of the Quang Ninh Heritage and Scenic Site Management Board, along with related personnel decisions.

On the evening of May 1, Ha Long Carnival 2025, themed “Connecting heritage - Pioneering to shine”, lit up Sun Carnival square in Ha Long city with a vibrant celebration.

More than 13,500 runners, including more than 1,300 international athletes from 55 countries took part in the Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2024. This event marks the 10th season since the Ha Long Heritage Marathon first graced Việt Nam in 2014.

The Ha Long Heritage Marathon officially kicked off in Ha Long coastal city on November 16. The tournament attracted over 13,500 runners, including more than 1,300 international athletes from 55 countries.

As August unfolds, the season for gold apples approaches. Individuals are purchasing them, alongside other fruits, to place on their altars in remembrance of their ancestors, especially with the seventh lunar month commencing tomorrow.

The Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA) and the Heritage Magazine launched the “Heritage Journey” photography contest 2023 on March 30.
