On Sept 17, Mr Nguyen Van Doc- chairman of QNPPC paid visit and inspected progress of the Metro Ha Long supermarket project.
Representative of Metro Ha Long, Mr Le Phuoc Sang-director of the supermarket has reported to the Chairman of QNPPC on establishment and development history of Metro Cash and Carry Corporation. On that basis, Metro Cash and Carry is one of the four biggest trading corporations and distributors in the world and present so far in 31 countries.
The Metro supermarket in Ha Long will be supplier of over 25,000 food and non-food items at high quality. Its services are designed based on specific demands of the traders who are doing their business in Quang Ninh and north-eastern area of Vietnam.
During the inspection, Mr Nguyen Van Doc – Chairman of QNPPC has highly appreciated Metro’s efforts in rapid implementation of the project .
The operation of Metro Ha Long will significantly contribute to improve the quality of goods distribution within the province. With advantage of a trading, tourism and industrial province with 50% of urban population, the presence of Metro in Ha Long will satisfy the consuming needs of the people within the province and visitors to Ha Long.
He hopes that Metro Ha Long will take into account the consumption of high-quality goods of Quang Ninh, such as seafood, fresh vegetables, and poultry…The chairman has also requested fucntional sectors to support and closely collaborate with the supermarket so that it could be opened on Sept 28 and effectively operate.
