Quang Ninh’s transport infrastructure continued to earn international recognition

At this year’s World Travel Awards, Quang Ninh’s transport infrastructure continued to earn recognition alongside leading destinations, services and experiences in the region and around the world.

Ha Long International Cruise Port welcomes large cruise ships, attracting international visitors to Quang Ninh.

Specifically, Ha Long International Cruise Port was named Asia’s Leading Cruise Port 2026. This marks the fourth time the port has received the title, following its wins in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Meanwhile, Van Don International Airport was once again named Asia’s Leading Regional Airport 2026, bringing its total number of consecutive wins in the category to seven, from 2020 through 2026. The recognition of both aviation and cruise-port infrastructure highlights the prominent role of connectivity infrastructure in improving access to destinations, expanding markets and strengthening the competitiveness of Quang Ninh’s tourism sector in the region. Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards recognise quality and achievements across the global tourism industry.
