Quang Ninh welcomes over 837,000 tourist arrivals
By effectively implementing safe and flexible adaptation measures, Quang Ninh greeted more than 837,000 visitor arrivals from February 1-15.
Some attractions seeing the significant flow of tourists include the Complex of Yen Tu Monuments and Landscapes (180,000 arrivals), Cua Ong temple (90,000 arrivals), Ba Vang pagoda (180,000 arrivals), Cua Ong temple (90,000 arrivals), Cai Bau pagoda (55,000 arrivals), Ha Long Bay (9,100 arrivals), etc.
The number of guests staying overnight reached roughly 40,000. The total revenue from tourism was about VND 1,000 billion.
Particulary, during the Lunar New Year holiday, the tourism sector has implemented a range of effective solutions to ensure safety and attract more tourists to Quang Ninh. Tourism and service businesses have carried out neccessary measures such as scanning QR code, complying with 5K regulations, recommend tourists to receive at least 2 doses of the vaccine, and have a negative test within a maximum of 24 hours.
In addition, the province has labelled its tourism and service businesses and establishments to assess the safety level of Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control. So far, 1,467 tourist accommodation establishments have registered for Covid-19 safety assessment at the website safe.tourism.com.vn managed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. 652 travel businesses have been labelled assessing the level of safety against Covid-19 pandemic. 652 tourism establishments have prepared Covid-19 preventive plans including neccessary measures and tentative scenarios approved by the Department of Health.
In 2022, Quang Ninh's tourism industry strives to lure a total tourist arrivals of over 9.5 million, including over 1.4 million foreign ones.
The total revenue from tourism activities is projected to reach about VND 19,000 billion and the budget revenue from tourism activities is estimated to be over VND 1,700 billion.
