Quang Ninh welcomes 700 guests from the stimulus program in Ho Chi Minh City
On August 17, a welcoming program was held by the Department of Tourism to greet a delegation of nearly 700 guests who are officials and employees at International Food and Beverage JSC (Interbos).
These guests from Ho Chi Minh city visited tourist attractions in Quang Ninh as part of the province’s tourism stimulus programme and the cooperative agreement signed between TST Tourist and Quang Ninh Department of Tourism.
The delegation stayed in Ha Long for 3 days and 2 nights, went on a tour of Ha Long Bay, visited Quang Ninh Museum, and participated in joyful events at big hotels in Ha Long city.
A conference on tourism linkages between Ho Chi Minh City and eight provinces in the northeast was held in Quang Ninh province last year.
Quang Ninh also signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with TST Service and Trading Joint Stock Company (TST Tourist). The two sides agreed on the cooperation in exploiting the international tourist market from a variety of regions namely Southeast Asia (Thailand), Northeast Asia (China, Korea, Japan), South Asia (India), Middle East, Europe, and America.
Quang Ninh has seen an increase in the number of travelers since its tourism sector completely reopened on March 15. Various measures have been applied to promote its tourism with the image of a safe, friendly, attractive destination where best conditions are provided to visitors to the locality.
The province has recently paid much attention to the development of wellness tourism. A series of resorts attracting domestic and foreign tourists include the natural spa resort of Yoko Onsen Quang Hanh in Cam Pha city, Vinpearl Resort Ha Long, FLC resort and golf course, etc.
Notably, the number of tourists to Quang Ninh tends to sharply increase every weekend. Over 130,000 visitors visited a variety of attractions across the province last weekend. In addition to natural advantages, alluring tourism products, weekend cultural and musical events also act as contributary factors attracting tourists to Quang Ninh.
In 2022, Quang Ninh's tourism industry strives to lure a total tourist arrivals of over 9.5 million, including over 1.4 million foreign ones.
The total revenue from tourism activities is projected to reach about VND 19,000 billion and the budget revenue from tourism activities is estimated to be over VND 1,700 billion.
