“Along with proactive measures to prevent and control the Covid-19, tourism businesses must strongly convey the message that Quang Ninh is a safe, friendly and attractive destination to both domestic and foreign tourists.”
The statement was made by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky, Quang Ninh’s Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, at the meeting on Feb. 15 with the Quang Ninh Tourism Association and representatives of tourism businesses regarding the solutions to develop tourism development in association with the prevention and combating against the Covid-19 epidemic.
In order to carry out the province’s guidance related to measures to prevent and control acute respiratory infections caused by the Covid-19 virus, Quang Ninh tourism sector and businesses have suspended making tours to other localities where there are infected cases and receiving tourists from the high risk areas to Vietnam via Mong Cai International Border Gate.
Besides, accommodation units, tourist boats, tourism sites and wharves in the province have been sprayed with disinfectants as prescribed while medical checks and supplies including face masks and hand sanitizer have been provided to tourists.
As reported, Quang Ninh has not recorded any infected cases so far.
