According to Quang Ninh Department of Tourism, the "Ha Long Bay" yacht is now ready for the Clipper Round the World Race.
The Clipper Round the World Race is a sailing race around the world conceived in 1995. The race is held every two years, each race often lasts 11 months with the participation of around 70 clippers.
Earlier, in August, Quang Ninh province and Clipper Ventures officially signed a cooperative agreement which states that Quang Ninh will send a team to take part in the Clipper Round the World in the UK in September, 2019 and become one of the hosting destinations in 2021-2022. Quang Ninh will officially join the partnership of the race in the 2019-2020 season. The province’s team will operate a yatch and wear uniform labeled the name “Ha Long Bay - Viet Nam” with the aim of advertising the images of Halong Bay and Quang Ninh province.
As reported, Quang Ninh's delegation led by Quang Ninh's Vice-Chairman Nguyen Van Khang left for the UK on August 24 to hold a ceremony to label the name for Quang Ninh's yacht - the only representative of Vietnam at the race.
